Carmen Sandiego Wiki

Episode 13 is the thirteenth episode of the first season of Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?

Dr. Belljar steals some salt from Tang Dynasty China in the year 780.

Following a Global Pursuit in the 700's and 800's, Kevin and the time pilots meet up with Millennia, the oldest woman on Earth, who recalls being a medieval fishmonger during the time when the Dutch created salt herring (a breakthrough in food preservation). Her clues lead the time pilots to Holland in the 1300s.

After a Data Boost in the 1300s, the time pilots meet a Civil War soldier from the 1860s, when food was being preserved in tin cans, which, without can openers, are extremely difficult to open. Unfortunately, once the time pilots get to the 1860s, Dr. Belljar zaps their 'fact fuel,' requiring another Data Boost.

Soon, Dr. Belljar taunts the time pilots, saying he's in 1983, when Mrs. Dash was introduced as a salt substitute. Once in 1983, the time pilots retrieve the salt and return it to the Tang Dynasty.

Mike captures Dr. Belljar, but Carmen escapes.
