Tanzania, officially the United Republic of Tanzania (Swahili: Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania), is an East African nation. Its neighbors include Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, is located in Tanzania. It is also believed that hominids dwelled in Tanzania nearly two million years ago.

The capital of Tanzania is Dodoma, but its largest city is Dar es Salaam.
