The Remnants is the second episode of Season 3 of Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?

Synopsis[]

Carmen steal objects that have personal meaning to her, and Ivy applies for a job in Hong Kong.

Plot[]

Washington D.C. Kennedy Performing Arts Center During a performance of the Wizard of Oz, Zack and Ivy are on a stakeout. Ivy is on watch and tells Chief to not distract himself, which Zack poses as a Tree. Carmen was part of the show and uses an apparatus to show up to steal the pair of red shoes worn by Judy Garland from the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. Two henchmen lock the doors so that people cannot chase her. They remove a an item that hid motorcycles, and they escape. Zack and Ivy are dissipated that Carmen escaped under their noses.

Back at headquarters, Chief tells Ivy that interest in the Hong Kong branch of Ac Me resulted in an invitaiton for an interview, to which Ivy was excited. Chief introduces them to a dog named Stretch. Just that moment, Chief reports in a clue from Crime Net where Carmen's henchme named Pop A. Wheelie and Iggy Nition were in seen in South Dakota near Rushmore, where they left a message via the air. Using clues, they use a C5 corridor to travel to Oyster Bay, Long Island, USA.

When they arrive, it is wintertime and leads them to search a house on Sigamore house. The pair see Carmen standing on the chimney and try to walk on the roof to chase them but she escapes using skiis and Zack slips, falling down and hanging on the ledge with his tongue stuck on the gutter. Soon enough, they are confronted by a henchmen, leading them all three to be fall off the ledge. Later, a police officer arrests the henchmen. Chief briefs them on updates to use Stretch, who sniffs out a an old younger image of Carmen; This younger image of Carmen uses a projector tech to show a message. It soon comes to be realized it meant the Wizard of Menlo park Thomas Edison.

The pair use the C5 Corridor to travel to Menlo Park, New Jersey, but land a mile away. They see the two henchmen on snow mobile, so they ask others to do so. At the Museum, they see Carmen at the top, and climb to the top, but it is a cardboard cutout. The two henchmen had lured them there ahd lock the door. Zack uses Ivy's jacket to create a Morse code signal and a police officer comes with Stretch. As they walk, Chief briefs them. It all makes sense after a while as Carmen is going down a trip via Memory Lane. She probably will target the Gold Gate Girls School, the orphanage where she grew up.

The pair use a C5 corridor to the location of the school. A police officer stationed there tells them it si cscheduled for a demolition, and lets them in. The pair enters and sees Carmen there. She is quite surprised, as it was the home she knew. The pair wants to arrest them but uses her hat to scare the cat and causes Stretch to wrap the lesh around Ivy, distracting them long enoguh to scape by hithcing ona hover air. The vessel takes the orphanage away, and the pair are still in the structure; they are forced the drop onto the bridge; in the end, they are glad that the items are returned but the orphanage is saved at least for Carmen's sake.

Player and Carmen exchange a few barbs in the end, stating "See You Next Crime"
