Curses, Foiled Again is the 9th and penultimate episode of Season 3 of Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? It was broadcast by Fox Family Worldwide on September 30, 1995.

Synopsis[]

Carmen is captured in Hawaii... but when she breaks out of jail, Zack is sure their bad luck is due to the fact that he's lost his lucky rabbit's foot.

Plot[]

Ivy, Zack, and another ACME agent Aileen are on a stakeout at the Iolani Palace in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii when Carmen Sandiego and Hannah Lulu enter. Zack hopes his Rabbit's house could help with bad luck, while he, Ivy, and an unnamed agent confront her. Her henchmen distract the group allowing Carmen and Hannah to leave. As they grapple down, Zack throws his rabbit hole and it catches the rope that forces the hook to stop. Police come and arrest the both of them.

The news come and watch Carmen put in the backseat of a police car. Right after she and Hannah Lulu are taken away, Zack is trying to find his Rabbit's foot. Ivy tells him to chill and that he will be famous by the female agent's brother. They travel via C5 corridor to Waimea, Kauai, in Hawaii. The next day, in braoddaylight, a celebation is held for Ivy, Zack, and Aileen, whoa re making the Hawaiian food poi. Chief immediately comes and briefs them on Carmen and Hannah Lulu breaking out of the police station headquarter and had stolen a 75 boat; a clue is left behind that shows two stones with one sword in one of them. With the information, they determine that Carmen intends to steal the Naha stone in Hilo. They arrive in Hilo, and see Carmen leaving with the Naha stone on the boat, and give chase in the harbor but fall in. the water in an effoft to chacse. Ivy comes picks them up; she and Aileen dive into some water, and find a new box; the contents display a telescope with a starchart pointing to the planet Mars. Chief briefs them on the newest entry on the CrimeNet; Carmen had stolen the Menehune Ditch. They realize the telescope probably refers to the Mount Kea Telescope in Hawaii and that there is a Bishop museum. The group use the C5 corridor to Bishop museum in Honolulu. As they arrive via a car, they see Carmen and Hannah Lulu run away after stealing an item. Giving chase, they see Carmen's vehicle get surrounded by police cars, but turn around and then get a flat tire, and fall off the cliff; however, it is an amphibious vehicle and travel on water.

The trio are perplexed and disconcerted that Carmen slipped away again. They had heard that a helicopter was called for them to pick up; Aileen says there is only one safe place for a helicopter to stay and that place is the Nuuanu Pali cliff top. Over there, Carmen tries to convince Hannah that the items stolen were acts that were meant for her to overcome her fear of the superstition, while both are waiting for the helicopter. Suddenly, they see lights in the dark and chanting, and this seemed to be the night walkers. A helicopters come and arrive, and it are the police. The "nightwalkers" were the locals and Ivy and Zack pretending to be them in order to add some credibility.

Carmen jumps off the helicopter, and jumps off the cliff; she has a personal kite used and escapes the law and to safety. Hannah Lulu is taken into custody.

Back on Honolulu, the Naha stone is returned to the county librayr and the trio Ivy, Zack,a nd Aileen are jubilant.
