By using a friendly facade, the Baron has used his friendly side to appear innocent but then stolen millions behind the backs of those who first trusted him, he owns a getaway plane and acts as Carmen Sandiego's secret advantage, acting as the ace in the hole.

- His name is a pun on the phrase "Bear and grin it", a phrase which means to accept a choice made by someone even though they may not like it but do not have a choice in the matter.
