In Episode 15, the Unknown Explorer decides that he wants to do windsurfing, but he is told that someone has already patented a windsurfer in the same year the Beatles movie Yellow Submarine is released in theatres. These clues lead the Time Pilots to California in the year 1968.

In Episode 19, Baron Wasteland taunts the Time Pilots about a sanitation workers' strike provoked by discrimination. This strike has been approved by Martin Luther King, Jr., who, sadly, is destined to be assassinated. The Baron's clues lead the Time Pilots to Memphis in the year 1968.

In Episode 30, Medeva taunts the Time Pilots with her own little rhyme about the first Navajo-run community college. Her clues lead them to the year 1968.
