The 1900s is the first decade of the 20th century. During this time, millions of immigrants moved to the United States from various countries in Europe. Meanwhile, Great Britain was going through the Edwardian age, while France was going through the Belle Epoque. Enrico Caruso dominated the opera houses of New York and London, while vaudeville dominated the spoken theatres of the United States. Technology, such as telephones and automobiles, were on the rise as well.

Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?[]

In Episode 40, Kevin and the Time Pilots meet a tough immigrant registrar who explains that immigrants are being processed through Ellis Island, where they have their names changed. Some of these immigrants are fleeing from the Czar of Russia, who is being a bully. The registrar's clues about President McKinley lead the Time Pilots to the early 1900s, specifically the spring and summer of 1901.

In Season 2, Episode 11, Jacqueline Hyde explains to the Time Pilots that in 1905, the same year Vladimir Lenin returned to Russia to rally his countrymen to the Communist cause, a new labor union called the Wobblies was founded in the United States. Unlike many other labor unions at the time, the Wobblies have accepted blacks, unskilled immigrants, and women. Unfortunately, the more radical Wobblies want to overthrow the U.S. government and replace it with unions...
