In Episode 27, Medeva lures the Time Pilots into a game of Global Pursuit, during which we learn that, in 1848, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels wrote The Communist Manifesto, the premier of the Papal States was assassinated in Rome, Austria alone experienced three revolutions, students and workers overthrew the King of France and proclaimed a new Republic, and Mexico ended its two-year war with the United States.

In Season 2, Episode 32, the Time Pilots meet Frederick Douglass, a former slave who has just published the North Star newspaper. His clues lead the Time Pilots to the year 1848.

In Season 2, Episode 43, Buggs Zapper taunts the Time Pilots about the Seneca Falls Convention, which was held during a time when James Polk was President and the United States had only 30 states. His clues lead the Time Pilots to 1848.
